Anna Berry




Anna Berry joined the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund in early 2025 as the communications director. As the organization’s lead storyteller, she develops content that increases awareness and support of the Community Loan Fund’s mission.

Born and raised in Alaska, Anna moved to New Hampshire to start her career and fell in love with the Granite State. She’s spent the last two decades striving to make it even better through her work in nonprofits and journalism. Anna previously served as communications director of the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, editor of the New Hampshire Bar News, and executive director of the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire. 


Peter Bowman




Peter Bowman spent 30 years in the US Navy and was commander of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard from 1987 to 1990. He worked in the private sector for 11 years, and then served in the Maine Senate, as Senate chairman of both the Legislature’s Education/Cultural Affairs and Insurance/Financial Affairs Committees. He was a commissioner on the 1993 Defense Base Closure and Realignment Commission and holds degrees from Cornell and MIT.  His interest in the Council’s work lies in the education efforts of the organization. 


Nagaraj Bukkapatnam



Nagaraj Bukkapatnam is the founding director of the Center for Business Analytics. He is responsible for fostering university-industry partnerships through value co-creation and knowledge sharing. Nagaraj is also focused on enabling future technologies in experiential learning and applied research. He serves as an advisor for companies on go-to-market strategies and disruptive technologies. Nagaraj has developed AI-based products in the areas of customer intelligence and channel experience. His areas of expertise include AI, Digital Analytics, Market Analysis, Product Innovation, and Design. He is passionate about reading and mentoring, and his research interest is in externalization – the process of transforming tacit knowledge to explicit knowledge.


Ali Sekou



Councilor Ali Sekou, born and raised in a small, rural village in Niger, West Africa, immigrated to the United States in 2012 with almost zero English. He began learning English at Laconia’s Adult Education to prepare himself for higher education. Soon after that, Ali went on to earn his Associate degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI), his Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management and Political Science from Plymouth State University and his Master’s degree from Carsey School of Public Policy (UNH) in Community Development.

Ali is the Manager of Community Engagement & Inclusion at New Hampshire Housing and serves as a City Councilor for Concord's Ward 8. In addition he serves on various community boards throughout the year.



Maura Sullivan




Maura Sullivan, a former Marine Corps Officer and Iraq veteran,
served as an Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs & Assistant to the Secretary of Defense during the Obama Administration.  Prior to being appointed by President Obama, Maura served as an executive at PepsiCo in New England where she held a number of General Management roles.  Maura is currently a Senior Fellow at New Politics and is a term member on the Council on Foreign Relations and a French-American Foundation Young Leader.  Her interest in national security and foreign policy issues stemmed from her service in the Marines while stationed in Southeast Asia, her subsequent military service in Fallujah during the Iraq War, and as a Commissioner on the American Battle Monuments Commission from 2010-2014, overseeing America's overseas cemeteries.  Maura holds an MBA and MPA from Harvard and a BA from Northwestern University, which she earned on a Navy/Marine Corps ROTC scholarship. Maura serves on the Advisory Board of the New Hampshire Chapter of Children of the Fallen Patriots and lives with her husband, a Navy Reserve Officer, on New Hampshire's Seacoast.


Shaunte Whitted




Shaunte Denise Whitted, Lead Strategist & CEO, brings a unique skill set to the field of Public Relations. She has devoted 25 years of her life working with others to solidify their aspirations individually & organizationally. Through her journey in communications; Shaunte has garnered titles such as Casting Director, TV Show Host/Producer, Brand/Imaging Consultant & Event Coordinator to name a few. This has included co-chairing the We Are One Festival in Manchester, NH, a music and cultural festival thabrings together the oldest Latino- and African-centered cultural festivals in New Hampshire into one event.
