Upcoming International Groups for 2023
Ukraine Members of Parliament - March 8th - March 15th 2024 In March, we have the honor of hosting our first in-person project for 2024 in New Hampshire. Organized by the Congressional Office of International Leadership (COIL), this transformative initiative brings together five esteemed Members of Parliament from Ukraine. During their stay, our Ukrainian guests will not only engage in vital discussions with local officials on legislative integrity, citizen protection, and governance transparency, but they will also experience the warmth and hospitality of our local community. By staying in the homes of our fellow community members, they'll have the unique opportunity to forge personal connections and gain a deeper understanding of American life. IVLP PROGRAM UPDATE In the past year WACNH has worked to navigate the challenges of the pandemic by working with the Office of International Visitors at the State Department and Global Ties U.S. During this time we have rapidly and successfully implemented IVLP Virtual Exchanges. While these will never replace in-person programming, it is proving to be a valuable tool for continuing to engage our global community in vital exchanges of ideas. With many advances in vaccines, the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State has reinstated in-person IVLP programming to resume in Spring 2022. We were able to welcome back our first in-person program in April 2022 on the topic of "Global and Regional Economic Cooperation". Our WACNH team will continue to also host virtual programs as they arise, and will do our best to produce top quality programs for exchange and further understanding for both our international visitors and local NH community members. Please note, the safety of U.S. citizens, as well as our international visitors, is a top priority. Additional updates will be provided as new information is received. |
